- I use the 3" version of the side bar so I can rest my hands on the Lap App while I work.

- I attach it to the back of my Lap App when using a small hoop
- I attach it to the side of my Lap App when using a long hoop
- I use the 3" version of the side bar so I can rest my hands on the Lap App while I work.
- Attach it to your lamp!
- Combine it with a Lamp Caddy to make hand stitching super convenient.
The Hands-Free Hoop Holder purchase comes with:
- Base clamp to attach to table, Lap App or lamp
- Hoop holder
- 100mm (approx 4 in) Side Bar to attach the Base Clamp to the Hoop Holder.
- 75mm (approx 3 in) and 150mm (approx 6in) Side Bar available as additional purchases for different size hoops
- 4 Thumb Screws
- 2 Swivel Screws for use with the Hoop Holder and Table Gripper. The swivel action allows for different shaped surfaces and different hoop sizes and shapes. (Please note, this version of the Hands-Free Hoop Holder is not compatible with the jumbo sized hoops. Please email me if you would like be to make a version for those hoops.)
- Rectangular TPU Hoop Holder for top of swivel screw. The flexible material holds hoops of various shapes and sizes.
- Round TPU Table Gripper. The flexible material helps hold the clamp in place on your table, Lap App or Lamp.

Use your Hoop Clips to keep the excess fabric neatly rolled up. Hoop Clips have the added benefit of covering the screws on your embroidery hoop so your thread won't get caught as you're sewing!

Magnetic Scissors Minder
Make your Hands-Free Hoop Holder even more efficient by attaching a Magnetic Scissors Minder to the Hoop Holder. Attach a self-adhesive steel disc (included with Magnetic Scissors Minder purchase) onto your Hoop Holder wherever you'd like your Magnetic Scissors Minder to sit. I like to have mine at the top of my hoop holder so the needle is always visible when not in use. (I also put a Magnetic Scissors Minder on the side bar to keep my scissors safely held within reach.) The magnet inside the Magnetic Scissors Minder holds it onto the steel disc and it also holds the needle or scissors in place as pictured below: |

- 75mm (~3 inches) for use with smaller hoops or when using the Lap App so you can more easily rest you hands while working.
- 150mm (~6 inches)
- Use the 150mm side bar when you need more clearance for larger hoops
- The 150mm side bar is also useful when attaching your Hands-Free Hoop Holder to a lamp.

Using your Hands-Free Hoop Holder

1: Attach the Base Clamp First, attach your Hands-Free Hoop Holder to the base of your choice (table, Lap App or lamp).
The Base Clamp is the part with the Round TPU Table Gripper. This is the part that you attach to your table, Lap App, or lamp. |

2: Attach the Hoop The Hoop Holder has a Rectangular TPU Hoop Holder that is used to hold your hoop in place. The rectangular shape allows you to grip different sizes of round, oval and rectangular hoops.

3: Adjust the angles with the swivel mechanisms.
|
Hoop Direction
Loosen the thumb screw on the Base Clamp and notice that you can turn the whole mechanism so it's either over the table or swing it out so it's away from the table. (When I use my Lap App I keep it facing the same direction as the hoop as pictured below. This is the same direction that it comes when you first receive your Hands-Free Hoop Holder.) When you like the direction that the hoop is facing tightens the Thumb Screw so it stays in place. Hoop Angle To adjust the angle of your hoop loosen the Thumb Screw on the Hoop Holder. I keep the Thumb Screw on my Hoop Holder slightly loose so that I can easily flip the hoop over to see the back of my work. (This is critical when changing threads!) |

Changing the Side Bar on your Hands-Free Hoop Holder

If you purchased different sizes of the Side Bar you can easily change them by removing the two Thumb Screws on the side that hold it in place. There are notches in the Side Bars that allow you to position the Hoop Holder and Base Clamp at different angles. |
